A lot has happened here at the Matthews Fire Station #3 project since our last check in! Our masonry team is making rapid progress on the CMU block walls that make up the apparatus bay that will house the future fire engines! They are close to a height of 12′ at this point. Some door and window frames have been installed within these walls as well as electrical conduits for future rough in.
Plumbing and Electrical teams have both continued with underground rough in throughout the east and west bays preparing for the slab on grade to be poured. Our concrete crews are here today to pour west bay interior footings, another item to check off of the list on the way to pouring our slab!
The sitework crew has continued to work on the storm drainage around the property as well as running the sanitary lines. Late last week they started running the water mains.
The site remains busy and it has been exciting to see visible progress everyday!
