Town of Matthews, Happy 2025! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. It has been a minute since we last update you so we have a lot to share!
If you’ve been passing by you will have noticed that things are really coming together onsite. Exterior paint is finished, the brick has been pressure washed, and the Matthews Fire Station 3 signage has been installed. Additionally, all sitework is complete including paving and markings. We are also working our way through landscaping the property as I type!
On the inside things are looking really nice as well. All of the flooring is down throughout the building, and final coats of paint are wrapping up. Bathroom accessories and lockers were recently installed as well as the light fixtures and fans. The apparatus bay had spray insulation installed on the ceiling just today, and a couple of weeks ago the concrete floor was polished and sealed. Cabinets and countertops are installed throughout the building as well and we look forward to seeing this space come even more to life when the time comes for furniture to be set in place!
Additionally, we have built a large, metal storage building on the rear side of the building for the fire department to use for additional storage. There is still interior work to be completed here but it looks really nice! Moving forward our team will be working on all of the finishing touches inside and outside and we can’t wait to share finished product.
